Mother board testing tips

Branch Engineer check thorouly some tips for MBD before send to TRC.

Problem:- No Display
A1. Clean motherboard the help of brush.
A2. Remove CPU and Clean
A3. Remove Ram and Clean
A4. Check CMOS battery
A5. Check SMPS.
A6. Clean Ram slot properly with the help of brush.
A.7 Clean CPU socket.

Problem :-Hanging.

1. Check over heating of any parts like CPU, Ram.
2. CPU fan fixed with CPU socket.
3. Check MBD Capacitor burnt.
4. Check SMPS.

Problem :- Printer port not working
1. LPT cable.
2. Check printer data cable.
3. Check CMOS setup.

Because CMOS battery is weak or dead . So CMOS setup is going to default setting. Check all setting properly.

Problem :- Serial ports not working
1. Serial cables.
2. Check cables ( cross and serial).
3. Check device connected to serial ports.
4. Check CMOS setup.

Problem :- IDE ports not working.
1 Check IDE cables.
2 Check IDE connector pins.
3 Check IDE connector pins.
4 Check CMOS setup.

Problem :- PCI slot not working.
1. Clean PCI slot properly.
2. Clean pads PCI cards to connected PCI slot.
3. Check pins to PCI slots.

Problem :- USB port not working.
1. USB cable.
2. Check USB cable to connect the right position.
3. Clean on board USB ports.
4. Check device to connect the USB port.

Problem :- On board VGA not working.
1. Check VGA cable.
2. Check VGA connector pins.
3. Clean on board VGA connector by brush.
4. Check CMOS setup.

Problem :- On board LAN not working
1. Clean LAN connector properly.
2. Check connector pins.

PC Hanging
1. Check for cpu fan (working properly)
2. Check for cpu getting heat up after recovering the CPU. ( Check for gap bet-CPUfan box) – MBD + CPU + FAN
3. Check for Ram heating. – Red Ram.
4. Check for any IC or getting heat up-seal mbd.
Alloy with above always check.
5. Check SMPS for Voltage (Output Voltage greater than 5 % of the limit) Seal SMPS and MBD.
6. Elese – Check for HDD/O.S.

No Display.
1. Check for compatibility of MBD+ CPU + RAM from the compatibility table.
2. Clean the MBD with brush properly. Check for physical damage CPU & CPU socket.
3. Remove the CPU & Clean RE insert it.
4. Check the CMOS battery (3.V)
5. Check the SMPS. - black – red - +5V
Black – yellow - +12V
Power good black – green - +3.3V
Black – orange - -12V
Black – white - -5V.

6. Check RAM slot - pull out & clean with
Brush & re insert it.

sir i have install linux in cipa project after installation complete edit ip addr. but network not support than i have again install win7 after machine working fine

i think mother board not support linux ????????? pleas reply me rahuljaltodiya.s1396@sysnetglobal.net
